Totally characterizes the kinds of people who would live in California – the state that contirbuted more money to Obama than any other. A state filled with self absorbed jerks.

MojoFiend lets you buy 4 coffees anywhere (and I found out they really mean ANYWHERE) in the city and get the 5th one free at Blue Bottle, Ritual, etc.

I love it. Free Coffee…what more can you ask for!

Great video! But how can you call it Coffee Wars without referencing how RItual Coffee opened their own coffee stand LESS than a block from where Blue Bottle’s kiosk has been for nearly five years?
SF coffee trivia: Before opening, the Ritual owners used to come to Blue Bottle for coffee almost every morning before going to work on their soon-to-be a cafe space.
And of course, the owner of Four Barrel used to be an owner of Ritual.
Load your venti cups, war’s a-brewin’ !!

Complete hogwash. This is a prime example of how history gets skewed by narrow minded documentaries. Lest we not forget the tea drinker wars of the early teens. How quickly we forget.

I loved it.

“I think that the coffee wars defined who we were,… Ego-centric style whores.”

I think I went on an OKCupid coffee date with Kendra Burns. Somewhat Ironic, don’t you think? I could be horribly mistaken though as the women with whom I had my coffee with was no where near as funny, and didn’t care to argue the merits of Folgers with me……..

WTF with “I f@#$%d Joan Baez”? Is the writer a Chris Daly supporter? I think it would be better if that line were replaced by something like “I KNEW Joan Baez” with a salacious wink.

I made my stand at Philz….my oddly named coffee allowed me to withstand the onslaught of the Mission hipsters…I still stand by Philz to this day.
