Great specialty coffee at home…try French Press. Chef Jasper shows how to make a great French Press with coffee from artisan coffee roaster Parisi Artisan Coffee. Learn how to get it right for a great cup; the right grind, the right water temperature, the right coffee-to-water ratio and the right steep time. And don’t forget to stir. @99centstore Why do you say stuff like this? I’m reporting this as net trolling.

I understand zeroing the scale and measuring the amount of coffee, but remember that if you take the lid off you have to put it back in to get an accurate reading on the grams of coffee. Thanks for such a great tip, I tried pressing some coffee this morning and it worked great. I live 3000 ft above sea level and could not get my water to boil above 180F.

@bigglyguy yeah, that’s the ticket, j/a. if the coffee is more expensive, it MUST be better! Try reading consumer reports coffee review. price has little to do with quality. Grow up.

what a bunch of anal-retentive bullshit. I could make the coffee in a hap-hazard fashion, and you damned well couldn’t tell the difference. I cannot STAND pretentious bullshit like this. “oh, no, this coffee tastes HORRIBLE! Someone must’ve heated the water to 201 degrees! cough…gasp….choke.

Grow the hell up you pedantic losers.

@theyworld Then you did it wrong, because the press pot simply presents the real coffee, as it is. If anything they allow more flavor than other methods, so if your coffee is disgusting try spending a bit more and buying some quality coffee..?

Hold on one minute. That foam you get on top after stirring MUST go. Get rid of it with a spoon. It tastes like unhappy overtime.

they really shouldn’t zoom in on his face if he’s reading off of a teleprompter. I was trying to pay attention, but i could do was watch his eyes moving back and forth. It kind of made him look mental.

I bought my first french press today. Followed this video, and now I’m having an awesome cup with my dinner.

The taste between the press and a drip machine is like night and day.

@thexbigxgreen; @commonsense369 Nice catch! As a seasoned chef, he usually measures by sight : ) Tare the empty press to come out exact. Thanks for you help.
