Had an excellent coffee meeting with my friend Reg to go over community demographics with him.

There are 100,000 people within 2 miles of his church in north Baltimore, and we explored some initial ways to connect the data to the people and meet real-life needs. He’s a good man with a good heart, working hard to make a difference.

I also noticed something as we were leaving – there was a power strip plugged into one wall outlet, and an octopus into another one. I told the barista that I was impressed with their kindness to mobile workers, and she smiled and said they were glad to provide it for people.

Please note: If you do a lot of mobile office work – and I love doing it, too – please remember to grab another coffee or tea at least once an hour, and tip them a buck or so each time. We get the love from them for providing the space, and we need to give them a little back, too – right?
