@winebox Thanks for sharing this great idea!
@Maria50711 Thee is welcome!
If anyone wants to use a paper filter on their percolator, I gently fold a regular basket style one into a quarter and snip the inside about an eighth an inch and then put it over the stem tube. It catches most of the grounds and the whole thing can be composted when done.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Kind of thee to say, thanks much!
@MrItchyElbow May God bless thy day, and thanks for the kind comment!
This is the best how to video by far on youtube. Great job!!!
Thank you so much for the video. The coffee peculator was used by my mom and dad early in my life, but modern living changed the method to the automatic drip coffee maker. God bless .
@ashe0013mck Thanks much for such kind thoughts! I wish I could advise thee on on how to compensate for the opaque top but I’ve never seen that style.
It took only this video to win me as a subscriber. I can’t wait to watch the rest of them… I own a percolator that does not have the glass bubble on top. It is, instead, opaque. Because of this, I cannot see when the water begins to perc. Do you have any advice on how to compensate for this? I’m new to percolators, though I have very fond childhood memories of coffee made over an open fire with them…
@nelvannya Heartfelt thanks to thee for thy comment!
@bigdaddymick Thanks for the kind comments, I am happy thee finds our videos helpful!
@mimi2boxers Thee is most warmly welcome!
@REWYRED Very glad thee found the information useful, hope thee enjoys the maple syrup and cream…I surely do! Thanks for the kind thoughts and comments.
Thank you for the wealth of information you have provided! I have a new gas range and I would prefer to use it as much as possible as I don’t believe in electric heat (and yes I AM an electrician!) I also do have an old Corningware perc pot that I have been trying to use. I am getting closer to the “perfect cup” but after your reccomendations I am sure the next cup will be the perfect one, and I will be sure to try a cup of perfect coffee with cream and real maple syrup!
Nice demonstration, easy to follow – but I must say I found the presentation a little verbose. Thank you, and I think I will try maple syrup coffee on my father’s birthday since he very fond of maple s.
Wow! Great video! I just brought a percolator today! You video was very informative. Have a blessed day! Thanks!
Thank You for this video!
Your teaching style is outstanding. Thank you for opening up your kitchen for us.
I always appreciate learning from a highly skilled craftswoman!
This was so helpful!
@baadshepherd Thee is very welcome – I hope thy morning coffee was better!
@yankhill I am happy to know thee liked the coffee with maple syrup and cream, it is one of my favorite ways of making a cup of coffee extra special!
I appreciate this video a lot. Thank you. My electric drip coffee maker broke yesterday and I horribly over perked the coffee I tried to make in my percolator. Hopefully this morning’s coffee will be better.
@libertymi I get great use out of my non-electric coffee percolator, and I hope thee does too – and how fun, we have the same one! The stove has a double oven, top and bottom, couldn’t do without it…very, very handy and useful. Thanks for the comment!
@quakerkitchen You are right. It was quite good. And I even tried your treat of maple syrup and cream. Very tasty. Thank you!
