I want to know how to preserve this product for shelf life? Bailey’s claim its a secret but i really doubt it… I know alcohol preserve stuff but there is more to it to get it to last that long even after its open. Any takers?

@francisvsu Yes, the egg is necessary in this version. If you prefer, you can cook this over low heat until the mixture reaches about 160 degrees F.

Is the egg necessary? Uncooked eggs are salmonella-risk food.

@blackmondae Thank you so much! Actually, this requires the alcohol. I don’t know a work-around. So sorry!

@kingofsapi
Hello. Jameson Irish whiskey would be my choice. As far as a Brandy, a good Cognac would be my recommendation.

@datboinique1918
Hi. Sorry, Irish Cream is an alcohol drink. I do have a good hot chocolate mix video that you can make and chill for a non-alcoholic drink.

What substitution can be done for the alcohol?

@solidiquis1 Yes, it is supposed to be thick and creamy.

Mine came out really thick? Is it supposed to be that way? It’s amazing! But I only wish it was more liquidy.

@lemonrind Yeah but did you see how he slugged that huge glass down. Three of those would make you nicely merry… much better than sipping on a teeny glass of Bailey’s. You gotta slug the stuff down man, at a fraction of the price.

I did some calculating, and the final product will have about 9% alcohol (assuming the brandy and whisky are 40% alcohol). That’s about half the alcohol concentration you get from Bailey’s Irish Cream. I recommend adding more booze if you want to get nicely intoxicated.
