Homemade Cherry Vodka

In celebration of the upcoming American holiday of Thanksgiving, here is a short photo series on food and drink.

For the third year in a row, we’ve made cherry vodka. Compared to making wine, it is easy. It’s just cherries, sugar, and vodka.
And you don’t have to use cherries. You’re really only limited by your imagination. And many major vodka brands make their own flavored vodka, whether apple, mint, coffee, etc.
And to be clear. While we mixed the ingredients together, we did not make the vodka. Making your own vodka is akin to gathering your own mushrooms in a field. You really want to have some idea what you’re doing before you do it. Besides, you can get quality vodka cheaply here, so there is no need to do it yourself. A decent quality vodka might cost you – per liter.
CORRECTION: Correct price per liter of vodka starts around . I was obviously quoting the 1/2 liter price!
