One party I missed, but represented by a framed watercolor on Randy’s wall.

Left to right: Roger, Lynette, Jim, Janet, Bill and Lyda. The old piano was played by Randy, our English teacher, School Newspaper sponor and yearbook sponsor.

Randy was in the USN in WWII and inspired many students. Randy’s style of freindship and fratenization would be frowned upon in today’s society, but in the 60s, small parties at educator’s homes were perfectly acceptable.

Randy is gone now. The old apartment in an area of Kansas City where there were jazz clubs and coffee shops is most likely gone too.
