Coffee and Breakfast

For those, like me, who usually end up getting a late start on their day the Coffee And restaurant in Truckee serves breakfast all day. Many of the other diners and coffee shops located in Historic Downtown Truckee stop serving breakfast, or close after the lunch hour. With it’s seat yourself dining room, Coffee And is a casual and comfortable place that offers a great traditional breakfast and lunch menu. I generally get the strawberry French toast, or a big plate of pancakes, but there are plenty of options. Because of its convenient hours of operation, I end up stopping here for a quick bite to eat more frequently then others in Truckee. They have big huge coffee mugs, and are quick on the refills, which make it a perfect place to stop for a caffeine pick-me-up when passing through on I-80. Although I’ve only ever gone to eat with one or two other people, they have large tables in the middle of the restaurant that can be rearranged for bigger parties – I’ve seen this come in handy when families, or groups of people come in for a late bite to eat after a day of sledding or skiing. The meal prices are a bit more expensive then you may find at your local chain breakfast restaurants, but not any pricier than the majority of the other diners in downtown Truckee. -Lauren Randolph
