It’s not every day you meet a parrot in Starbucks. The little fella is called Maxxi and is a Yellow-Faced Amazon. Maxxi’s owner had a good line in tall stories too.

Last week this was a Starbucks, one of the many throughout Australia.

This week, just an empty storefront. On one of the busiest corners in Sydney. If Starbucks couldn’t make it here, they can’t make it anywhere.

I have found a new drink at Starbucks – the Java Chip Frappuccino. Like there could be any BAD drinks at Starbucks but as it has been so hot there was a run on these.
The other was a classic Cappuccino!

Not only do all businesses in Japan have superb, comprehensive recycling, this Starbucks has a basket of blankets for you to use while cozying up with your cappuccino. How long do you think those would last in SF, NYC or LA?

Starbucks Day of Action – Seattle

The Starbucks Day of Action was a huge success, and Oxfam has you to thank! Thousands of activists, Ethiopian-Americans, and coffee lovers in more than a dozen countries — from New Zealand to Scotland to the US — visited Starbucks stores on Saturday, December 16.

In Seattle, WA, activists led in part by the local Ethiopian community gathered outside one Starbucks store to let Seattlites know that they support the ownership of Ethiopia’s coffee names.

It was dark out, but you get the idea – this Starbucks (34th and Park) was closed due to the NYC transist strike. Sniff, sniff.

Breakfast at Singapore Starbucks

Every morning in Singapore my partner and I had a coffee and a cheese bagel with cream cheese for breakfast from Starbucks :P It was just across the road from the hotel and we don’t have Starbucks in Perth so we definitely had our fill of it! The bagels were filling and a nice contrast to all the spicy food.

Mmmm, Passion Iced Tea!

I apologize to all you Starbucks Lovers out there, but I honestly do not like Starbucks. I guess after spending so much time at the local coffeeshops with the real coffee and no fillers, tasting a Starbucks coffee is the most disgusting thing ever.

Once the mouth gets a taste of the "real stuff", there’s no turning back.
